3 Ways Entrepreneurship
Empowers Female Millennials

Entrepreneurship is a big thing in the millennial world. In fact, Deloitte says 70% of millennials are planning on or already are on the path to creating a business. Female millennials are making the leap and jumping in. The reason: entrepreneurship empowers female millennials!

So how exactly does entrepreneurship empower female millennials? Let’s hear from several women I met on my journey of creating The F SHOW:

1. You get to be you

  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and finance expert LaTisha D Styles says “We can choose a flexible business that allows us to start and care for a family without worrying about glass ceilings or being passed over because of our anatomy.”
  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and video/crowdsourcing expert Alexia Anastasio says “There is no asking for permission, there is only try and try again.”
  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and branding expert Anita Wing Lee says “By branding myself, I have opened so many doors that would not have existed — opportunities to share my story and help so many others in the process!”

2. You get to do what you love and live the life you want to live

  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and video/crowdsourcing expert Alexia Anastasio says “It is about freedom in all ways, time, legacy and fun.”
  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and finance expert LaTisha D Styles says “I love being able to greet my son when he comes home from school each day then continue working as he does his homework. Also, when it comes to retirement, millennials have a very different view on how it should look. Creating a business allows us the flexibility to take mini-retirements and truly enjoy life without waiting for age 65.”
  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and branding expert Anita Wing Lee says “Entrepreneurship has empowered me to take charge of my career (and life!) rather than just taking what the world hands me.“

3. You get to be part of a larger cause and make the world a better place

  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and video/crowdsourcing expert Alexia Anastasio says “(Entrepreneurship is a) great space for females to explore and find the best way they can serve and inspire the world.”
  • Female Millennial Entrepreneur and branding expert Anita Wing Lee says “I love knowing that everyday I am creating and contributing to something that I believe in!”

If you are considering becoming an entrepreneur, you are already taking the first step to further your self-empowerment by giving yourself the choice.
